The Bahrain Cultural Trip (BCT) - an annual pilgrimage to Juffair in Bahrain where participants carry out ridiculous and futile activities such as taking a selfie with the topiary horse, drinking a pint in the World’s Shittest Bar and reciting their infamous poem, “T’was The Night Before Bahrain”.
Attendees are encouraged to get a red dot tattoo – known as the “mark of Juffair” - to mark each completed tour. The front runners currently have 8 tattoos (as of September 2023).

It is the end goal of people who believe that cultures should stay pure and not mix, and can be considered a form of racism. The phrase "cultural appropriation" is sometimes used disingenuously with the end goal of discouraging culture mixing.
Someone said I was "appropriating Cuban culture" by using that rhythm in a song, but remixing culture is what keeps things interesting. Could you imagine how boring a world of cultural segregation would be, with nobody sharing ideas?
