Not my problem

You know what, I'm going to take a different route with this one. I was going to say something else (Which you likely saw) but I'm going to pivot and say this instead: If Forrest Gump is "real" in the same way that the bible is "real" then there is is no REAL moral significance to the moral presuppositions. Additionally, if the book needs to be interpret by someone who doesn't believe in the underlying axioms for people draw accurate conclusions... Then the book itself is not an accurate lens through with to view the world. His entire case for the bible is literally just "What? The glasses your wearing have ink all over them? Don't worry. I'll just tell what's happening." And then he reaches into you wallet and takes your money and then he guides you straight into a wall and walks away.

Fish Pond Problem

"Have a fish pond problem" = Thinking you have a huge, critically important problem to deal with.

Compared to - "Making a mountain out of a molehill" = Exaggerating and exacerbating a very minor, insignificant issue into a tremendous obstacle or crisis.

Owners of fish ponds ( like koi ponds) get very upset if something goes wrong with their koi or the environment. The world is ending if there is a fish pond problem.

John was stressed about missing the office holiday party, but his wife told him he was having a fish pond problem and it wasn't that big of a deal.
When the restaurant messed up my order, I started to get really worked up until my friend said "Relax, you're having a fish pond problem again over something minor."
Sarah tends to have a lot of fish pond problems - she'll obsess over tiny issues like being 5 minutes late as if they're catastrophic events.
The team spent two hours debating the colors for the new logo design. Their manager finally had to intervene and say they were having a fish pond problem before refocusing them.

The Moana Problem

The Moana Problem, first coined by Matthew Walsh circa 2024, is a theory that suggests that there is really no cure to Racism, especially with children.

Basically the theory goes: you have two white children who both watch Disney movies. One white child gravitates towards white princess. Picks out white princess dolls, watch Disney movies with white princess, etc. Which is bad. Then, on the other hand you have the other white child, whose favorite princess is Moana. However, that child wants to be Moana for Halloween, which proposes Cultural Appropriation, if she were to wear the Pacific-Islander Attire. So “no matter which way you go… you end up back in Racism”.

“This is similar to The Moana Problem,” said Paul, who’s on a journey to defeat racism.
