Ratchet

A ratchet is the male piece of a tool used to loosen up nuts and bolts.

The corresponding female piece of the tool being a socket.
When this term is used to describe a female, it isn't so different.

It isn't about being ghetto, or obnoxious.
It's about being the type of female who doesn't have enough self respect to not allow herself to be used as a tool to loosen a nut.
A "ratchet ass bitch" will always pick up the phone no matter how many times a dude disrespects her or is blatantly only interested in using her to bust a nut.
