RFID(Remote Frequency Identification) is here. Approved for human use by the FDA in 2004, it's now a popular way for authorities (big brother government) to monitor its citizens.

Some religious beliefs relate this form of RFID usage to the 'mark of the beast' - as mentioned in the bible's book of revelations.

Likewise, many non-religious concerned citizens protest and detest the use of RFID on human beings.

However, marketing techniques overpower word of mouth, and therefore many people see this extent of governmental control as harmful and painless.

Having a chip on your shoulder/arm implies you are being controlled/monitored/hunted by the powers that be.

Do they really need to know where you and I eat/sleep/fornicate/poop?

I aint getting no chip on my shoulder!

Don't let them put a chip in your shoulder either!

A song by A Day To Remember written about when you're playing Call Of Duty. An enemy is five feet behind you, and in attempt to kill you, they waste time fumbling to throw a grenade instead of shooting you. In the time it takes them to do that, you turn around kill them effortlessly.

Brett: Dumb ass computer. He was standing behind me and in the time it would have taken to shoot me, instead he pulled out a grenade.

Josh: What a retard.

Brett: Totally. I killed him while he was still taking it out. He could have just shot me on the spot and killed me! You Should Have Killed Me When You Had The Chance, CPU.

Chip on his Shoulder

Comes from when people spent more time around animals specifically horses. It refers to when someone refuses to do what they are told because the person in charge is incompetent.

A horse was refusing to do what it was told so a veterinarian was called in. The veterinarian examined the horse and noticed a chip of flesh was removed from the front shoulder of the animals leg (chip on his shoulder). As it turned out when the owner was drunk he walked the horse into the side of the barn door. Now the horse refuses to obey.

shoulder surfing

A stolen term from surf lingo. (Everyone seems to try to inject surfing vernacular into there vocabulary, hoping to acquire what use to be surfing coolness. i.e. web surfing). Laughably surfing has become so commercialized that it is no longer a cool association. Real term is "shoulder hopping": to drop in on someone elses wave, not at the peak but at the shoulder (down the line). A Wuss thing to do since it is generally easier and rude to do this.

Dude1: "This dude shoulder hopped me so I speared his brand new Channel Islands board with my old Cordell and did some serious damage." Chuckling

Dude2: "Right-on bro. He's one of those Corona Del Mar kooks anyways."
