Detroit city tax

The spare change that people in the city ask for. One is likely to pay the tax near places visited by suburbanites (e.g. Greektown, Comerica Park, Wayne State University campus) or while stopped at traffic lights on expressway service drives.

Mom: "Here's five bucks. Can you pick up some bread for me at Avalon on your way home?"
Kid: "Avalon? Then, I'll need an extra fifty cents to pay the Detroit city tax."

Pipe-City

To nail pipe on a goal in an athletic competition. Especially lacrosse. Usually yelled by members of a team after one player hits pipe. If a player takes a shot and it nails the pipe anybody is at liberty to yell pipe city. Pipe city is not necessarily a bad thing, sometimes players aim for pipe. Its just a statement of fact.

Jack: Yo man what are you doing today?
Alex: Not much bro, probably going to take a trip to pipe-city!!!
Jack: Oh bro count me in!!! I'll bring my spoon!!!
Alex: We can just shoot on scotty's goal.

Austin City Limits Music Festival

The best fucking music festival in the WORLD!!! Located in Austin, Texas (the best city ever and the live music capitol of the world) every September or October. Since its start, ACL has hosted many bands: Coldplay, The Strokes, Muse, Phish, Vampire Weekend, Jack Johnson, deadmau5, Pheonix, Kings of Leon, Dave Matthews Band, Pearl Jam, and many many more!

Guy 1: Dude im going to Austin City Limits Music Festival this year!!

siler city

A quaint little town in North Carolina with a population of 6,966 and White is the minority, and Hispanics and Cows are the majority. You can come and visit one of the four main restaurants on the strip or there is always the Super Walmart where everyone goes to hangout after church. All of this wihin 5 square miles.

Owl City

A one man band who is neither ovverrated nor underrated.
People just dop't understand that Owl City is its own genre, and therefore susceptible to potential dislike, because everybody has different tastes.
Dream-pop - fantasy lyrics that might not make much sense to begin with but are so relaxing and beautiful to listen to.
Adam Young may not be like most mainstream singers but he has a special line of thought that's not like the barbaric and animalistic nature of most modern singers ¬.¬ so if you don't like then don't say anything! This man is talented!
