Reputation Nerd

A reputation nerd is a preson whose post count on a forum speaks about his lack of social life. He is very famous on that particular forum, altough 95% of his posts usually have no substance. He is not a troll, but can choose to be, and others will still tolerate it. His messages are the filler junk you have to scroll through to get to the useful posts about a subject. He replies to every subject on the forum, even if he doesn't know anything about it, just for the sake of commenting.

On occasion, other reputation nerds with not so much thousands of posts will agree with the dominant alpha-nerd just to get his approval, and that is the difference between him and a troll. But the reputation nerd doesn't care, or rarely shows any emotion at all. If he does show emotion, it is usually fake and exaggurated.
In this case, Kid A is the reputation nerd

Kid B (10 posts): I'm looking for this game (explains game)
Kid A (10 thousand posts): It's torchlight rofl
Kid B: Oh, thanks man
Kid A: no I was joking, it is not torchlight. I don't know what it is.

Herp-nerding

Present participle of herp-nerd (Verb).

The act of engaging in behavior which focuses on an object or circumstance peripheral to the immediate object or circumstance at hand.

The act of herp-nerding essentially introduces an extra element of humor by slightly derailing norms by focusing on something that doesn't need to be focused on, making it the new topic of focus. This act alters the attention from the immediate focus, to a peripheral focus.
(ex 1): Two individuals sit in a restaurant looking over a menu. This is the (normal) immediate object or circumstance at hand.

Herp-nerding would ensue if one or both of the two individuals were to take the menu, the silverware, and all objects on both sides of a table and attempt to match them up equally, as if each of the objects on both ends of the table were mirror images of one another.

The focus (and act of herp-nerding) would shift from reading the menu and ordering food, to mirroring the objects--the focus changed (from reading/ordering food) to (playing with and mirroring the objects on the table).

anime nerd

A person who likes anime, manga, or any of the Japanese related animations to a greater or lesser degree.

Anime tends to mainly attract a certain personality, and those personalities can be considered childish and/or obsessed by outsiders. However, personalities of these fans can be anything from the stereotypical cosplayer who sneaks random Japanese phrases into everyday speech with the Inuyasha tattoo, to the straight laced professor who you took for Econ 1 in college.
