A case for a smartphone / cell phone that is worn visibly - typically on the belt.
The invention of smartphones required consumers to change their cell phone carrying habits since smartphones typically have an outward facing screen that needs to be protected. Nerd pouches were invented and quickly became the new fashion accessory for geeks, replacing the pocket protector. Now nerd pouches are everywhere, though mostly seen being worn proudly around the workplace, on belts with tucked in shirts.
Many smartphone users refuse to be nerdy, and conceal nerd pouches in their pockets or simply carry them around without attaching them to their clothing. Though, in extreme cases, there are the few... the proud... the real men and women who defy all nerdom... who throw caution to the wind and simply put their smartphones in their pockets / purses with no protection at all - not even a screen protector!

Get the Piggy Nerdmug. A person, (usually male) who is obsessed with tactical gear, techniques, knowledge, etc. Usually either a huge fan of the military, or very anti-military. Only wears camo or 5-11 tactical. Probably has a creepily detailed plan about how they’d survive the zombie apocalypse. Either owns a gun, or was denied a license. Usually has applied to join the army, probably failed the phyc exam because they were so excited to kill people. Probably at least a little sexist, and would likely bring up something really weird on the first date and never see them again.

Get the nerd wafflemug. A person who likes anime, manga, or any of the Japanese related animations to a greater or lesser degree.
Anime tends to mainly attract a certain personality, and those personalities can be considered childish and/or obsessed by outsiders. However, personalities of these fans can be anything from the stereotypical cosplayer who sneaks random Japanese phrases into everyday speech with the Inuyasha tattoo, to the straight laced professor who you took for Econ 1 in college.
