A successor version of the “geng geng” culture in the Philippines, heavily influenced by both mainstream and underground rappers like AL James, Skusta Clee, Shanti Dope, and Hev Abi. Mostly made up of teenage to young adult males. Young Stunnas are often associated with marijuana, sex, and women, projecting the image of being part of a gang or triad.
Their style borrows heavily from street and gang aesthetics—think Slavs’ tracksuits, flashy bling, and other streetwear staples. They often mix it with symbols and pieces reminiscent of the anarchist movement, most notoriously ski masks, which became a signature look during the September 21, 2025 Martial Law protests.
Young Stunnas were prominently involved in those protests in Manila, engaging in heavy vandalism and destruction of both public and private property, particularly near Malacañang, Ayala Bridge, and Mendiola.
