Get the Metallicamug. One of the greatest heavy metal bands of all time. Band members consist of one of the greatest frontmen in metal, and great rythm guitarist, James Hetfield, great drummer Lars Ulrich, excellent bassist Robert Trujilo, and a great lead guitarist, Kirk Hammett. Has had many other talented musicians, such as kickass bassists Cliff Burton and Jason Newsted and Megadeth guitarist Dave Mustaine. Have been known to break the horrible hair metal rockstar era in the 80's, and in 1986 making one of the greatest metal albums of all time, Master of Puppets. Their sound influenced many other great bands to play thrash metal, such as Slayer.
people who say Metallica sold out just need to grow up. metallica is one of the few bands that had the balls to sue napster's ass, and experiment with their sound while not giving a fuck about what other people think of them. their live shows still kick fucking ass, anyone who doesnt think so can take a look at some vids from the 2003 madly in anger tour

Get the Metallicamug. A band among the pioneers of Metal in the 1980's who, although talented in the instrumental department, sucks as far as singing and lyrics go, and is very overrated. THUNDER...THUNDER...THUUUUUUNNNDDEEEEERRRR. How childish. A very large portion of their fan base includes guys between the ages of 30-40 years who still live with their parents and are not very intelligent. In my opinion, liking this band is excusable if you're a teenager in high school, but when you get older and still like them, I mean, really?

Get the Metallicamug. Total Assholes. Sellouts. Their usually listened to teenyboppers and wannabe hardcore kids. Mostly people who watch Fuse or MTV.
They like to sue and piss off everyone. They sued Napster just because of one little demo. And recently threatened to sue Wikipedia just for having some of their songs on their Backmasking page, when the idiots don't know that ANYONE can edit those pages.
They like to make fun of other bands, like Megadeth for example. And if you ask them why they will deny it like it never happend, even though there is truth to back it up.
Their songs are also way overplayed on Radio. I'm really sick of hearing "Enter Sandman", its way overrated, and there is nothing good about that song.

Metallica liked to brag about how they are the best Metal band to walk the earth, they usually did this at their concerts. And now they try to cover it up whenever someone asks them, so other bands won't beef with them. They also bash any other band who brags. They are such hypocrites.
