Any fan or student of the second rate school University of Oklahoma. It is a portmanteau of “Sooner,” the school’s official nickname, and “Goon,” referencing the large fan base of drunk, uneducated idiots who would rather fight you than deal with criticism of their team, as well as the large number of criminals recruited to play for their men’s sports teams.

Cowboy: Hey, who do y’all ply next week?
Longhorn: Man, we have to go play ou. Those Gooners can’t even get their initials right!
