The term American can be used for anyone in the Americas, however its really just people from the U.S.A. If you bring this argument up to anyone who isn't a American from U.S.A they will think we are ignorant because no one else calls Canadians or Mexicans Americans. Even though our full name is the United States of America, is there any other country with America in its title? Yeah, I didn't think so either.

Logically you would think the word "american" stands for someone from North or south America, but..
On the internet the words definition has been changed, it is more commonly used to describe an ignorant, mindwashed, stupid or dumb person.
For example you could see a comment like This "are you american or something?" on a video or tweet, that is plainly dumb or too stupid to ever have been thought about

Yes, the word "American" unfortunately is commonly correctly defined as "an ignorant, bigoted, gluttonous prick".
Those Americans who have exploited the word "freedom" are an embarrassment to say the least. I'm an American and I must say I'm humiliated on a day-to-day basis by my fellow citizens' ignorance, but to those of you who are reading this as a non-American citizen, please know we're not all the same.
Anyone who is well educated in world history, however, surely knows of mistakes made by nations in the past. The United States is still a young nation and therefore still exhibits the ignorance that older countries have already learned from.
When you think of the word "American" try to remember that while most Americans exploit the word "freedom" many of them acknowledge the word "accountability".
Fellow Americans: We can change these problems. Humble Yourselves!

Americanization is the process of editing out offensive material in Anime and Manga from Japan, who's population isn't as uptight as the Protestants we have here, in the US. This often does NOT improve the quality of the anime. Cool action scenes (violence), descriptive language (expletives), intimate moments (nudity), and shounen/shoujo-ai (homosexuality) is often affected.
Americanization? You mean the castration, neutering, spaying, and female-circumcision process being used by VIZ Entertainment?
