Both MC and Chelsea are wrong. Kathleen Hanna inspired the name of Nirvana's hit song "Smells Like Teen Spirit" by writing "Kurt smells like teen spirit" on one of Kurt Cobain's walls. He thought it meant "the spirit of teens" and didn't know it was a deodorant.

Blue Ridge Spirit

A feeling that is impossible to describe to someone who hasn't experienced it. The closest synonym is "extreme happiness". It originated in North Carolina on top of a mountain at the YMCA Blue Ridge Assembly, but has since spread across the country. Once someone has felt the spirit, they will never be the same. This feeling is invoked by green rocking chairs, Eureka Treats, Cheerwine, and mountain air. Usually expressed using spirit fingers.

American Spirit

The kind of cigarette you want to smoke when you have a lot of time on your hands. Was first invented by the service industry for workers. So when they put their cigarette down there was still PLENTY of it left once they got back. Plus its additive free. :D
