A term used by over-committed activists to refer to people hanging around the movement and getting in the way, taking an ideological position to an extreme without ever actually doing anything about it, ranting about 'process' or demanding a whoosh at the end of a meeting. Disorganised. Wooly thinking. Incoherent. Lacking in personal hygiene or style.

The 1960's hippie generation were way ahead of there time and the world hasn't caught up with there ideas yet. Thus there is a neohippie movement of enlightened people and gothic hippie trying to finaly bring there message to the world of peace and love which is a simple as falling off a log but some how the rest of the world can't get it. It's like there stuck on retard and can't understand that it's bad to kill each other. especilly the right wing milita shit heads who think there being cool talking about murdering all the black people and making america a fasicst state.

a person who beliefs are for peace and love. They usually are just relaxed people who do what they wana do.They are not usually accepted as law abiding because of the storeotype of doing a lot of weed, acid and other hallucinajives. Although that storeotype is usually pretty accurate not all hippies do drugs.

People who look at the world and act happy and loving of all things, and ignore the fact that half of the world wouldn't mind blowing their heads off. Another group (similar to Democrats, Republicans, Christians, Muslims, Nazis, Communits, and talk show hosts) who insessantly believe that their ways, thoughs, and understanding of the world sufficiently dominate the thoughts and ideas of others, and therefore express their beliefs in very clear ways. Example: protests, colors, and Jefferson Airplane.

President: War is the only answer!
Hippie: Peace is the only answer!
President: But war will solve all our problems.
Hippie: But war is our only problem.
President: But peace can't stop everyone's problems.
