Adding names of people with increasing levels of power in an organization to the CC line on an email on each reply, thereby upping the “ante” of the email’s audience. This generally results in an email that should only be between 2 or 3 people having a CC line with 20 names on it and 87 replies.

Get the Email Pokermug. When you send an email to a group, and someone on the grouplist has to write back to the group and 'dominate'. They have to get the last word and come across as the most superior in the group. Like when a dog humps another dog to dominate it.

Get the Email Humpmug. A "nine of emails" is the collective noun for when you recieve an annoying number of emails (not necessarily nine) from the one person whining about a particular topic. It originated on a bulletin board called "toys in the attic" when a poster called "Coach" who is prone to exageration would claim "I have recieved not one, not two, but nine, repeat nine, emails" whenever he wanted to make people think he had alot of support for his bullshit opinions. From there it became the standard joke when someone would whine to the webmaster about some bullshit.
