Free Grobstein was a schoolwide campaign in Westfield, New Jersey which demanded the reinstatement of the position of substitute teacher for Howard Grobstein.
Early in the week of Halloween 2018, Grobstein was caught watching pornography on his laptop during a class period, and allegedly displayed the NSFW content from his laptop in front of students with a projector, which got him fired by the WHS administration.
Later in the week, WHS students responded by chanting the line "Free Grobstein" in the hallways, in hopes of getting Grobstein’s job reinstated. On December 20, 2018, a student at WHS launched a GoFundMe campaign with a goal of raising $100,000 to get Grobstein’s job as a substitute teacher reinstated.
