Referring to the FIFA series of videogames. A mental state in which one desires to own or play a new entry in a game series, despite uneasy feelings regarding whether or not the sequel's new content and/or gameplay changes is enough to warrant its existence.

"I should be hesitant to buy the new Splatoon game, but my FIFA syndrome is making me otherwise."
