A term use when contacted by a person in different forms or fashions after long periods of time only to spark up previous emotional attachments which are entertained but ultimately shut off along with contact only to be contacted again in the future for a replay of events.

Man I got brooklyned again, she hit me up and shit was going good then POOF she cut it all off and went ghost. But that’s ok it happens 3-4 times a year.

When someone moves to Brooklyn and becomes impossible to reach or spend time with. Using the excuse that you’re far away and it’s expensive and time consuming to travel and they feel guilty by inviting you over. Like...bitch it’s a two way street and you’re the sucker who chose to move there.

When someone moves to Brooklyn and never looks back. Makes new friends and barely reaches out. Saying they’re really busy even though they’ve got a healthy social life, but don’t/won’t include you in it.

My last roommate, who I got along with has brooklynitis now since moving to BedStuy.

You will never want to be around a Brooklyn. Brooklynn’s (or Brooke’s for short) will be very manipulative and tend to play victim quite well. Brooklynn’s are the spawns of satan and will use you until you can no longer give what they want. Brooklynns will sleep with anyone they can no matter the looks and then leave right after without a trace left behind. Beware of Brooklynn’s, they will turn on you in an instant and also sleep with your boyfriend/ girlfriends! They tend to believe everything should just be handed to them in life and most more than half end up becoming low life crack heads under a bridge but with entitlement!
