Barred is a term for being banned or forbidden to come to a specific place. It is not known where it originally started but it is most commonly used in Maryland, VA, DC, Philly and Delaware.

Pine Barrens

An area of forest that exists mainly in the Southern half of New Jersey and eastern Long Island. The forest consists mostly of Pitch Pine and swamps of Atlantic White Cedar (NJ). Relatively flat and sandy. Nicknamed the Pine Barrens by early settlers because of the difficulty of growing crops in the sandy, acidic soil.

I love going to the Pine Barrens on a cold, crisp day and looking at all these Great Shapes
