Blessing the Tea

Bringing undue gravity or religious, spiritual or philosophical contexts to situations that are inconsequential to others in your social sphere.
I know you liked the movie, but I kind of feel like you were blessing the tea by relating it to my relationship with my father and then starting to cry. It was a Rob Schneider movie, after all.

Gypsy Tea

Tea with random things added to it to make you feel better when you are sick. Like a Hot Toddy, liquor is the number one ingredient that makes tea "gypsy tea" and rum, whiskey and brandy are the most common types added. The alcohol numbs pain and makes you pass out. Other things frequently added are cloves, orange juice, honey, zinc, vitamin c or tinctures of things like elderberry or Echinacea. Any home remedy can go into gypsy tea. Gypsy lore says all kinds of things cure sicknesses (depending on what Gypsy you talk to). They might put in weird analgesic's, shrooms, strange poultice's, eyelashes, shoelaces of an elderly man, lizard tails or who knows what. Don't ever buy tea from a Gypsy unless you are willing to go to spirit world for a few days.
I am very sick with a headache, sore throat, aches, cough and runny nose. I am going to make up a batch of Gypsy Tea and drink it until I pass out. Hopefully I will feel better in the morning when I return from my Gypsy Tea la la land aka Spirit World.
