When you have a day expected to be 24 hours in length or more without sleeping. Named after the Touhou game where you freeze the night just to find that one person who put up a fake moon.

My day began at 7AM, with me flying out of Toronto for Dublin at 5PM. It was 6AM the next day when I arrived, and I didn't fly to Glasgow until 1PM. I didn't get to the hotel until 7PM. That was one heck of an Imperishable Night.

Night Fury

A Night Fury is a species of dragon in the How to Train Your Dragon movie series. A Night Fury is a pure black dragon. They have only been recorded to have green eyes, that appear to be white in some scenes of the movies. Night Furies were thought to be untamable, until Hiccup Horrendous Haddock 111 tamed one. Night Fury’s have proven to be extremely loyal and will risk anything once you have earned their trust.

Day for Night

Usually employed in the realm of B Movies, Day for Night refers to the act of closing the curtains in a home or finding a decently dark area outside, filming there and pretending it’s night and then in post throwing a blue filter over the scene, lowering the brightness and contrast to make it look like “Night.”

In the movie “The Last Vampire on Earth” Vitalie Versatchi uses Day for Night in a scene with the Vampire.
