bad as brooklyn

1: When high hopes are crushed by an unpredictable or disappointing events.
Example: Our vacation started off "bad as brooklyn" when the plane was delayed 12 hours.

2: T.V or movie series that (re)makes movies or seasons that run too long and get ridiculous.

Examples: Dexter, Shrek, Transformers, Every Bruce Willis series.

This phrase ultimately refers to a popular T.V show that took a turn for the worse after the third season. The comedy series based out of a Brooklyn Police Precinct quickly became the butt of this joke/phase when the fourth season was released in 2016/17.

Example:
1) "Dumb and Dumber To" is truly "bad as brooklyn" in so many ways.

2) The football game got "bad as brooklyn" in the second half when the snow started.
