Get the Clanker Wankermug. A new term used by people who aren't happy about the growing presence of robots and artificial intelligence in daily life has emerged.
"Clankers," a term from Star Wars lore used by humans and clones to derogatively refer to robots, the term first appeared in the Star Wars franchise. During the Clone Wars, a conflict between the republic and separatists, the latter used an army of robots called droids. So the word "clanker" became a common derogatory term used by protagonists toward their robotic enemies. While its use began ironically, the growing adoption of automation in almost every facet of life has some people using the term more seriously.

Get the Jim Clanker Lawsmug. This is the term used for a older and rusty droid. The term clanker is commonly used amongst new age droids as a insult to older droids. "Clankers" often contain rusty components that are loud and can make "clanking" or "clunking sounds".

Get the clankermug. "Clanker" is a derogatory term used for robots or automated programs, particularly those driven by artificial intelligence (AI), and sometimes human-written code. The term rose to popularity on platforms like TikTok and Instagram, typically including images of characters with robotic characteristics (such as Cyborg from the DC universe, or Bot from the kid's show Team Umizoomi) with the text, "Would you call them a clanker?". The term seems to have been derived from "clank", which is an onomatopoeia for the sound of metal hitting something, and the "-er" suffix, meaning one who is/does. Thus, "clanker" essentially means "one who clanks".
