A mixture of the words chow and grub, is used to refer to eating unhealthy food for a long period of time, because there is simply nothing else to do.

Short for the physical condition, chubby. When one is slightly overweight, but usually just cute. This condition is more prevalent in one's childhood, but can last an entire lifetime.

Overgrown piece of fat. Usually related to jiggle or hypocrite PE teachers. When you touch it, it feels like jell-o. Also refers to your friend, an annoying person, or just some fat guy. It can be a girl too.

Chub

A breed of fish resembling a small carp. These fish are small, terrible and when caught, display the amateur abilities of the fisherman who caught it. When caught, said fisherman will more than likely be verbally abused/hazed by his more dominant alpha male friends.

The chubs

The chubs, a family of 4 established in the early 80s, are a quirky bunch with big hearts and -for some of the members- bigger noses. A couple of them are rounder in size then they’d like to be, as the mothership of the group has recently become a master baker, putting shops out of flour, eggs, sugar and butter all over the midlands.

We recently took on an honorary member, Laura who married the youngest of the chubs, mark and low and behold are set to continue the chubs for another generation. Long reign the chubs, with their big noses, slackening waistlines and huge hearts.

The chubs strikes again- Waitrose, Morrison’s, Tesco’s, Sainsbury’s all out of flour two months in a row!
