The International Association for the Study of Pain's widely used definition defines pain as "an unpleasant sensory and emotional experience associated with actual or potential tissue damage, or described in terms of such damage".1 In medical diagnosis, pain is regarded as a symptom of an underlying condition.

Get the pain mug."Bodies bleed upon physical injury, and they may look quite hurtful but eventually the pain will wear off as time passes and they can heal faster with medical aid. What are more serious are emotional scars. They are the hardest to heal. Physical and emotional scars are a bit different. Unlike physical ones, there's no ointment available for the emotional ones, and the pain may never go away. There is only one thing, that can stop such heartache. However as inconvenient it may seem, this cure can only be given by people other than yourself.
