Saturday afternoon movie

A movie that you stumble upon while surfing through the channels on a rainy Saturday afternoon and watch because you have nothing else better to do. Typically a decent flick, but you wouldn't go out of your way to see it; rather, you are solely watching it out of convenience. Often shown on cable networks such as TNT, FX, and USA.

Examples include: The Rock, Con Air, Tremors, Die Hard's 1-4, any other movie by Michael Bay or Roland Emmerich, etc...

"The 1990's saw the production of many awesome Saturday afternoon movies."

A: " Do you have plans for this afternoon? "

B: " Yes, I'm going to the pub at 5:00 p.m. with my friends just after class. Want to come?"

A : " Sorry I can't, I'm going to the restaurant with my girlfriend this evening at 7.p.m. "

B (looking his watch, reads 12:01 p.m.) : " That's fine! Good afternoon! "
