They seek to come to power and then do away with electricity and electronics either trashing them and/or burning them up.

"electric eccentric", a combination of the two words. Basically, a person who has a freaky, but electric personality would fall into this category. The term electric here would refer to an energetic, goal-oriented person either whose goals are oddly placed or who uses strange strategies to achieve them.
