The lane you turn in, which gives you a brief few seconds to show off to everyone your 84's, candy paint, or obnoxiously loud music or any other accessories you may have outside of your vehichle, or possibly inside if you have an invisible top. Or you may want to show off your invisible set and princess cut in the turning lane, who knows?

UK phrase referring to the amount of generic guitar based bands. It is characterised by:
* complete lack of rhythmic invention
* weedy vocals
* utter self-absorption
* million of songs about nothing but how *weird* the world is
* having gone on about twenty five years too long.

Credit also goes to Andrew Harrison at Word Magazine for coining the term "landfill indie"

Friend: "Ahh who is playing glastonbury this year?"

Me: "Some Landfill indie bands!"

Friend: "Like who?"

Me: "Scouting for girls, the kooks, the ting tings bands like that"
