Emo 

Its another genre of people, music and personalitites.
There can be a lot of definitions for emo, depending on how you personally look at it.

A majority of people believe it is a classification for music. Mostly the music will consist of very emotion lyrics and lots and lots of guitars. Expect screamo.

If you believe it to be a type of person they will generally wear black with black or unaturally colored hair usually with choppy layers and bangs. They generally wear shoes that are checkered, black, and are usually doodled on. Ex. VANS, Converse, DVS, Etnies, DC, and NSS

Emo personalitites are sad and mopey. Usually they cry, maybe not in front of anyone, but they do. Sometimes the cutor burn to relieve stress. Poetry.Drawings. Anything atristic.

That kid looks emo.

That music sounds so emo.

That kid acts all emo.

personally i think emo is a lifestyle. People dont choose to be emo they just are. If your a really emotional person, then your emo,you dont have to cut yourself or think about suicide, those are the poser emo's, who try to be like us when they arent.

" I Just finnished listening to Hawthorne Heights whole album, it was so true and sad, what the kids go through" now thats a tru emo, he or she wont say
" Damn it, i just listened to Hawthorne Heights and they mentioned cutting yourself..." *goes and gets a razor blade to cut*

When a person, usually a guy, is prone to crying about things such as girls who don't like them, projects that don't work, shoes that are falling apart, bikes that get stolen and the fact that they want to go back to Mexico. It is a trait that is predominant in guys named Dan.
Also: a genre of music popular amongst Long Island high school students in the late 1990s/early 2000s.

"Dan is so emo. All he does is whine about how hard it is to talk to girls."

"Ugh. Don't you know that emo hasn't been cool since 2004."

"Dan is so emo. He busted a hole in his new Adidas sneakers, and started to cry."
