Body Cam Acting

The manipulation or fabrication of events by law enforcement officers while wearing body cameras, intended to distort the reality of recorded incidents. This practice is considered a serious misuse of body-worn camera technology, which is designed to ensure accountability and transparency in police work. Body cam acting can lead to misleading representations of interactions between officers and civilians, potentially affecting legal proceedings and public perception by presenting an inaccurate account of events.
After watching the footage, it became clear we were dealing with a case of body cam acting, where the reality of the incident was distorted.

Acts of kindness

An 'act of kindness', it is an act of being kind. It is when someone does a good deed for another person but wants it to be acknowledged and is usually done with the intention to be a good samaritan. It can be a bit twee (see World War Twee).
People often do it to be inadvertently rewarded, praised or thanked. For this reason the term 'act of kindness' can make some people feel cynical.

Someone who does something kind, or generous, may not be doing this as an act, but it may be branded as an 'act of kindness' by the recipient.

The person performing the 'act of kindness' may share it with strangers, by filming or sharing it online, or the recipient of the 'act of kindness' usually tells it as an anecdote, either online or word of mouth, to assure themselves and others that there is good in the world.

For an 'act of kindness' to have maximum effect, it is usually done by strangers.

A 'act of kindness' is not to be confused with someone doing something kind for a stranger. Because of the rise in social media, 'acts of kindness' are usually catagoried as wholesome content and can often feel insincere.
I've been making an effort to show acts of kindness recently, it gives me a sense of wellbeing and purpose.

I leave £5 notes on the ground as a random act of kindness. Hopefully it brightens the day of the people who pick them up.

I received an act of kindness today, a random lady offered to buy my drink, we took a selfie, she didn't say anything she just waved as she walked away.
