73 Gangster Crip (73GC)

People often mix up the West Side 73 Gangster Crips and the East Side 73 Hustlers Crips because both identify with “73,” claim Crip affiliation, and historically cooperated in gang conflicts. However, they operate on different sides of Los Angeles and align with two distinct Crip “cards”: Gangster Crip (3x) for the West Side and Hustler Crip (H) for the East Side. Despite their separate origins, both maintain a shared street alliance under the “73” banner, representing mutual respect and solidarity forged through geographic and historical ties.

Also known as the Hyena Crips or “83GC” (short for Hyena Crips Got Control). A small Crip-affiliated street crew from Detroit’s far northwest side, mainly around Five Points near Seven Mile and Telegraph. Known for tags like “83GC” and “ScoreGang” reppin their turf.

Seen more as a crew than a full gang — police note their graffiti and rivalries but little major violence tied to them.
