If Trump is a narcissist, Cooper is also a narcissist. One likes masks, the other (publicly) doesn't. Both like power, both are on the same side (not yours).
Cooper cares about as much about the average person as Trump does. The coronavirus response was his ticket to getting re-elected, that's why he did most of what he did. He's an ally of Trump and has been since before his election, until he wants to stand up to Trump for show a few months before the next election.

Get the Coopermug. Anybody trying to force someone or a group of people to do something they want is of course going to tell people they got cooperation from everybody else.
He/she knew that more people would do what he/she wanted them to by saying that he/she was getting cooperation from everybody else (or that their was no resistance to his/her plan).
