Fangirl

Noun: Fangirl.

A fangirl is a girl, normally in the age range of 12-19 that almost becomes obsessed with either a fictional character/actor/band to the extent that they maybe have posters of their desire on their walls, quote them constantly and rave about them to their friends. Fangirls tend to join together in groups to 'Fangirl' with others about the same interests and desires. This may take place through twitter or livejournal.

Verb: To Fangirl/Fangirling
When fangirls uncover a new fact/video etc. about/containing their desire, they may end up with increased body temperature, constant smiling and changing emotions, a loss of bodily control (Waving their arms around, jumping up and down) and squealing to convey their emotions. In severe cases, fainting may occur, for instance, if someone was to meet their desire such as a celebrity.

Two girls walk down the street. One of them (a fangirl) is on her phone when she sees that her favourite person, Ed Sheeran has tweeted about a new show.
Fangirl: OMG OMG OMG I CAN'T BELIEVE IT! AHHHH! (Jumping around, dancing down the road)
Girl: (Weakly smiles) Yeah.... That's great.
Fangirl: Can you believe it???!!!! OMG this is so great! SO GREAT!!

Fangirl

A species of the female race that many are convinced are rabid or mentally unstable, who will scream over any little thing their idol says does or thinks, and who often gather together in packs they call fandoms online with people they have never met, and sometimes these fangirls will even faint from happiness if they see their idol. Never get near one in the same place as their idol, they will deafen you and make you wish you were six feet under with their screams. You'll hear strange babbling nonsense come out of their mouths as the fangirling slowly drives them insane until their brains crack and they freak out completely and that is why you have to be very careful about taking girls to concerts.

Normal Person: Hey look it's One Direction-
Fangirl- EEK EEK OMG OMG OMG SQUEE ONE DIRECTION AAAAHHH AAAAHHHH I LOVE YOU ONE DIRECTION AAAAHHH AAAAHHH OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG EEK EEEEK EEEEEK EEEEEEEEE!!!!!

A girl who's so obsessed with a certain famous person she goes out and buys their favourite movies and takes up listening to music they like. In some cases, if she likes a reality TV contestant and they sang a particular song on a certain week, she goes out and buys that artist's music
