It's just another word for "call out culture".
When a famous person says something controversial they will receive a massive amount of criticism. That will be seen as a direct attack and the famous person will never own to their mistake and just cry they're being cancelled.
Most of the time no one is really cancelled for real.
Sometimes someone will be investigated and might lose movie deals because productions don't want bad press. That has always happened and has never been cancel culture.
Ironically, the people who cry cancel culture will gain popularity, so in a sense it has become a way of skirting responsibilities and deflect the attention from the actual horrible things they said.

Kim: You mean J K Rowling? The one who made history writing HP? That's the best example of a victim of cancel culture you could think of?

A social media influencer that decides, on their own authority, to vocally call for the canceling of other people on social media, without actually waiting for a platform like Twitter to physically de-platform the said person.

Why are we trying to internalize cancel culture? Are we better or worse than Musolinni's blackshirts?

The Cancel Culture Crowd (CCC) (also known as the Cancel Culture Crows) are a notorious segment of the radical left-wing SJWs that seek to cancel the lives, reputations and careers of everyone who has a slightly different belief, opinion or value. Recently, they've attempted to cancel the Washington Football Team's backup quarterback Taylor Heinicke for voting for Donald Trump out of jealousy and to prevent him from getting paid a higher contract in the offseason after a brilliant performance against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. What's more, they will stoop so low that they will target famous individuals from history who are no longer alive especially well-respected civil rights leaders such as Helen Keler, Mahatma Gandhi and now Martin Luther King Jr. Their agenda is to use blind ignorance, fascism and irrational yet an emotional way of thinking to manipulate and change history to their liking.
Oh my goodness! We're in 2021, and now these unemployed nuts are targeting Martin Luther King Jr.! Well, I can't say I'm surprised! The Cancel Culture Crowd (CCC) can't stop canceling as they have nothing better to do with their lives!

The idea that cancel culture is justice. People who show these signs will cancel people for saying anything even if it is minuscule and the person they are trying to cancel has not actually committed a crime. The idea of cancel culture thrives on hate and not justice bringing people who are both hateful and sensitive to the topic.
This person thinks cancel culture is always right and they do not check their facts before trying to cancel someone. They have Cancel Culture Brainrot
