hatriotism

Proving your patriotism by hating the people the government tells you to hate.
Well, I guess they've added a new country to the list of our enemies. I better hate them, too, if I'm going to prove my hatriotism.

Hatriotism

Hatriotism is the opposite of Patriotism, and is used by Political Figures to intentionally pass legislation that harms their citizens Standard of Living or Freedom.

An example of this would be the "Patriot Act" signed by George W. Bush, or Joe Biden's proposed 4.7 Trillion dollar yearly tax increase.
Ron: "The Patriot Act was an act of Hatriotism from George W. Bush!"
Hank: "So is Joe Biden's proposal for a 4.7 Trillion dollar yearly tax increase!"
Ron: "An act of Hatriotism indeed."

hatriotism

noun- refers to nationalism contaminated by bigotry. A hatriot defines himself by his nationality, and by how much he dislikes any who disagree with his nation's agenda. Thus, his/her/its(the nations) nationality becomes defined by all that he/she/it do not oppose. Oftentimes, it is considered acceptable to take cheap shots, racial or otherwise, at individuals/institutions that represent oppositional ideas etc.
Similar in nature to branding opposition w/i one's own nation as anti their own nation and its ideals. For example, un-American

Hatriotism went hand in hand with unilateralism.
In an unprecedented act of hatriotism, the US House of Representatives voted on March 11, 2003 to replace the 'French' descriptor in French fries and toast with 'Freedom' due to anti-French sentiment caused by France's refusal to join the 'Coalition of the Willing'.

hatriotism

A term best applied to right-wing fearmongers who claim anything non-white and non-Christian to be evil. It's also the force behind such measures as the Patriot Act, the Defense of Marriage Act, and the War on "Terror" (a.k.a. Oilgate).
By keeping the terror alert in America at a constant high through acts of hatriotism, the Bush Administration hopes to distract the average American voter just long enough to win his or her vote this November. Those darned evil-doers.

hatriotism

1. Proving your patriotism by hating the people or things you are instructed to hate by demagogues, arbiters of social or moral issues, or politicians inside of or outside of the current government administration.

2. Nationalistic Demagoguery.
Looks like Chavez has come out as totally socialist, and we've been told socialist are all Godless and hellbent on world domination. I better hate Venezuela lest I be branded unpatriotic.

Hatriotism in America today is spurred on by radio pundits.

While seemingly incompatible with Christian values, hatred and xenophobia have successfully been employed for political gains among Christian voters in the U.S. Thus, hatriotism has been a powerful tool of the republican party.
