ghost draft 

When one drafts an email or letter or other written work to be sent or published by another, after the final sender/author tweaks the message, to be in their tone of voice or include additional information.

I wrote a ghost draft of the email of that my boss eventually sent to our client.

A message you wrote from the heart but never sent. It lives in your drafts folder—unsent, unresolved, and quietly haunting.

Not quite deleted, not quite delivered. Just… ghosted by you.

That message has been sitting in my notes for 3 months. It’s a ghostdraft now.
