blacksploitmation

An animated blacksploitation film or television program. Artwork often influenced by anime (so called "japanimation"). Examples include Fat Albert and The Boondocks.

Of course Aaron McGruder's <i>The Boondocks</i> is certainly an example of blacksploitmation--the main character has a funky Afro, unusual political beliefs, and he often solves mysteries. And in one scene he has a fight with Zatoichi, "the blind nigga samurai"sic.

Films and TV series which exploited black popular culture. Usually revolved around badass black detectives with funky hairstyles solving crimes. Most famous is probably Shaft.

Shaft is a perfect example of blacksploitation.

The movie "Blackula" is a great example of blacksploitation.
