A new movie that takes place after one movie but before another.

Friend 1: did you hear about the new star wars movie?
Friend 2: no, what is it about?
Friend 1: its a pre-sequel, its after episode 3 and before episode 4.

Pre-Sequel 

A movie that takes place both before and after another movie.

Friend 1: Have you see the Godfather 2?

Friend 2: No, what is it about?

Friend 1: Its a pre-sequel, its it's set mostly after the original Godfather, but a good portion of it takes place before.

Pre-Sequel 

The incorrect term used for 'Prequel', often used by people named Jordana. Again, whilst this term may be classified as rare, it is still wrong as determined by the government of North Rothbury

In my 22 years of living, I have never heard the words 'Pre-Sequel' together and now that I have, I am repulsed.

Presequent 

Coming before something in time, opposite of subsequent.

As for the works of Philosophy you should be familiar with the presequent works that the Philosopher was highly influenced by.

presequence 

To create a mix of songs that are beat-matched using software and then saved before playing to an audience as opposed to a DJ mixed set where a DJ mixes the song on the fly while the crowd is (hopefully) dancing.

Mixing on the fly requires mad skills but presequencing allows the Presequencer to nail every beat, use custom twisted tracks and introductions, and pre-place many more effects than a DJ can on stage.

That DJ isn't really mixing on the fly. He's playing a presequenced set he made at home and now he's just making himself look busy.

He doesn't mix live sets, but that Presequencer had the floor BUMPING to his beats all night long.
