The opposite of "user-friendly" design, it defines the likely product of design work that does not include continual involvement of users in the requirements and design process.

The user-hostile design of the user interface for this product resulted from a design attempt by the developers with no style guide and no user-centered design methods.

A Hostile Makeover

We’ve all then them, young girls foundation troweled on so thick it might as well be the concrete footings for a new extension on the house, eye brows that look like they were drawn on by the Rt Hon Lord David Blunket (MP for the Sheffield Brightside and Hillsborough constituency for 28 years). Eye shadow like Pete Burns after a four day bender in Benidorm for our Karen’s 60th and eye lashes with more holes than the Mccann’s holiday Albi.

Fucking sweet baby Jesus and the orphans Dave she’s got that much on she’s looks like she’s been bought out by Ru Paul in a hostile makeover.

Hostie

When used as a swear word, hostie may also written without the letters "h", "e" or without both letters.
It is a french biblical word (the sacramental bread) often used by canadians as a curse word. (specially in Québec) It is pronounced "us tea".
Like many other biblical words (such as "tabarnak", "calisse", "sacrament"...) hostie can be used as the following:
1. noun (to insult)
2. adjective (to enhance a lot - most common use)

Note: Other words, such as "calisse" (pronounced "Kah lyss") mentioned earlier, can also be used as verbs. ("M'a te calisser", which means "I'll give you", in a violent way)

1. Ah, mon hostie... (usually replaced by "Why you little...", but could also be replaced by any insult)
2. A) Un hostie de... (can be replaced by "really", as in "A really big cake")

Hookup Hostility

Obvious tension and hostility between two people who have hooked up and now hate or resent each other without trying to hide it.

When you hookup with a co worker and then start to hate them and have to be around them, there is a lot of hookup hostility in the room.

When you are hooking up with someone and they screw you over and you still have to be around them, there is a lot of hookup hostility.
