Pop/Punk

Pop/Punk or Pop-Punk music is a newer type of punk with a cleaner sound. Some twats, such as McFly, Busted and many other ROCK/POP bands have decided to call themselves Pop/Punk as it is also renound for have 3-5 chord riffs designed to get stuck in your head (Sum 41 - Fat Lip is a great example, first 20 seconds). But making a 3 to 5 chord riff that is catchy and playing two notes over and over which you didn't even write while you all moan about some hot girl not looking back at you, are different things. So this new interpretation of Pop/Punk is making the older (mostly late 90's like Sum 41, The Offspring) bands look like retards who can't play guitar as well. So it must be stopped! I dunno how so you can think of it yourselves, but it must be.

McFly Fan: Oh My God, McFlys new song is like totally a pop/punk peice of art!!!

REAL Pop/Punk Fan: McFlys new song is not only the same as their first 2 and all of Busteds, its Rock/Pop BULLSHIT and those CUNTS who can't admit they don't even know what punk is need to be shot through the balls.

Pop Punk 

Starting with bands such as propaghandi and the vandals, true pop punk today is much more accessible and centered around bands such as Fireworks, Transit, The Wonder Years, Polar Bear Club, and to a lesser extent Title Fight.

New Found Glory is considered to be the band which brought Pop Punk into the spotlight and influenced all of the bands above to some extent.

Fall out boy, Sum 41, Simple Plan, ect. are not pop punk. They are no different than mainstream top 40 artists like brittney spears or miley cirus. They use the same gimmicky pop hooks and overproduction except with guitars and awful fucking clothing.

sum 41 is NOT pop punk.
