It is a form of social activism. It’s usually as a social movement against commercialism.
There are many types of culture jamming some are:
Guerrilla radio
Political vandalism
Hacktivism
Passive jamming

The corporate network was flooded by the culture jamming activists.

A type of mob-based socialism seen frequently in the Internet Age in which the intent is to stifle and even eliminate political debate and opinions contrary to the mob. Especially popular among folk singers, baristas and people who thought that turning their bodies into bad kitsch art sounded like a nifty idea at the time.

"Did you see that web site that said young voters are 'fashion follow monkeys' and that Obama is manipulating us? Let's go lay some positive jamming on them. If that don't shut them up, we can even launch a denial of service attack."

A form of Cultural Jamming.Jamming,Flooding forums with informative chat that's beneficial to humanity
Overwhelming forums with messages of harmony.
Posting large numbers of positive, passive facts.
A form of activism

slangs devaloped out of movment include:
Marmalading
which is sending bitter sweet wake up calls or reality checks backed up with facts. Marmalade comes with no preservatives
Jam Donut
far right or neocon group, posting or forum. Usually used to inform jammers of posts.
Jam sandwich
a situation that a lone jammer often faces when struggling against persistent bloggers it is often used as a call to other jammers for assistance

A large group of jammers, bloggers were successful in the passive jamming of the forum.

Flash Jamming 

That moment when you are listening to you headphones and you can't help but start to play invisible instruments, often accompanied by stage presence enhancing dance moves. Not to be confused with solo synchronized dancing. Flash Jamming is not always done in public but it is always spontaneous. The "jammer" is typically fully aware of the precariousness of his or her behavior but elects to let the beat flow through them and into the minds and hearts of those who are not blessed enough to hear what they are hearing.

Sunday evenings attack on the subway was sparked when a seemingly unaware man began flash jamming to DJ earworm's newest club banger. A group of h8ers, wished they could compete with the coolness of the victim but could not, so they attacked him with makeshift prison shanks.
