A fantastic hip-hop group formed in the late 80's-early 90's by now
successful solo artist Q-Tip. They had a unique blend of jazz, rock, and
alternative hip-hop that was not rivaled by many other groups. They have now disbanded, but their classic album "The Low End Theory" will live on as one of
the greatest hip-hop albums ever recorded.
"Back in the days when I was a teenager,
Before I had status and before I had a pager,
You could find the abstract,
listening to hip-hop,
My pops used to say it reminded him of bebop,
I said 'Well, daddy, don't
you know that things go in cycles,
Way that
Bobby Brown is just ampin' like
Michael,
It's all expected, things are for the lookin',
If you got the money, Quest is for the bookin''"
