The tragic event that scarred America on
September 11th, 2001. The attack consisted of 19 Al-Qaeda terrorists led by
Osama Bin Laden, 4 airline airplanes, The World Trade Center, The Pentagon, and a field in Pennsylvania.
The attack began at 7:59 A.M. on Tuesday September 11th, 2001. And didn't fully end until 5:21 P.M. The 1st and 2nd planes had crashed into The World Trade Center in New York City, New York, the 3rd plane having crashed into the Pentagon in Arlington County, Virginia, and 4th plane having crashed into a field near Shanksville, Pennsylvania. The 4th plane's intended target was the U.S Capital (not
the White House) in Washington D.C. 2,977 lives were lost that day consisting of the 19 terrorists/hijackers, the 246 whom were killed on the 4 planes, 2,136 citizens, 72 police officers, 343 firefighters, 55 military personnel (all of these sum up to 2,606 deaths at the World Trade Center and the area around it), and the 125 whom were killed at The Pentagon.
