Someone who seems to be a fun person because he is always there when there's a good time happening. In reality they are not contributing to the good time. They are just always around the people who create the good times.
Ever notice how Jay just sits and never says a word at a party. It like we're all having fun and he's just fun adjacent.

Hood Adjacent
a person who grew up in a hood-neighborhood and/or around hood activity, but did not grow up in a hood household in the hood-neighborhood, and does not exude hood characteristics. This person is familiar with the hood, feels a special closeness to it, and loves participating in hood activities when invited.
These people are sometimes perceived as stuck-up or bourgeois, but were more than likely sheltered, and proud to associated with their neighborhood.
