Unfortunately they get a disproportionate amount of media coverage because they have so much money they can literally buy/control anything if they want (i.e. presidencies, politicians, social media platforms, newspapers, sports teams, etc.).
Ellen Degeneres employed this persona in self-parody in her stand-up 'Relatable' in 2018, joking she fully empties her toothpaste just like us poors do...except she squeezes it out by flattening the tube with a gold bar.
