Balls to spare 

Used as a compliment to a courageous person or as an expression to explain that someone has a lot of courage aka balls.

Similar to - that person has huge balls or they have big balls. One could say that - they have balls to spare.

The people who rock climb without ropes (free solo climbing) have balls to spare.

The Spare Tire 

Similar to the Third Wheel, the spare tire is that fifth person you bring on a double date who has to sit by themselves.

This can be especially embarrasing if the spare tire has to pull up a chair to a booth for four.

Spare tires are usually your socially awkward homies or people you feel bad for.

I'm never hanging out with Billy again. He said we were just going to the movies with 'some friends' but I actually just got played into being the spare tire!

a piece of wood cut to the definitions of a tire, and attached to the axle not by the bolts, but with duct tape.

-going down a road-
-massive bump-
-tire flies off a cliff-
guy 1 "$h1t!... great, now i gotta' go make me a redneck spare tire"

gutter spare 

When your bowling ball falls into the gutter, but still manages to get a spare. Usually when only one of the 7 or 10 pins are left standing from the previous frame.

I got 9 pins on the first ball, then I threw a gutter spare.

Person A: Did you see that? The ball rocked so far in the gutter that it clipped the 7 pin and I got a spare.
Person B: Yeah, dude! Nice gutter spare!
