someone who is emotionally emancipated. different than bastard. emotional orphan. a birthdult has parents, but is completely independent/emotionally unattached from them.

Person A: My mom's coming to visit. I haven't seen her in 3 years.
Person B: Weird...I don't think of you as someone who has parents. You're a birthdult.
