Tammie

The female name of choice for southern white trash who spends more time behind the bleachers instead of in them at the football game, and thinks Bartles and Jaymes wine coolers are the height of classy drinking, only to be served with Lean Cuisines.

Tammies usually end up as weathered old semi-employed sports bar hags and chair props with too much makeup looking for that special trucker or traveling salesman who might be the one to sweep her off her feet and into her fifth marriage. Tammies will normally have four kids by age 22, and by age 60 three of the four still live with her and her 6 maladjusted cats in the family double wide, which she thought it would be a wise investment, purchased with the $10,000 life insurance policy she got from the death of her first husband Earl who died drunk driving in the family station wagon. Tammies usually know the names of EVERY character in EVERY daytime soap and chats about them incessantly with her girlfriends during Bingo Night while hoping to win the $50 pot, because she’s low on the type of vodka that comes in the plastic containers. Tammie sent her son 14 year old Earl Jr. to the corner convenience store to pick up some scratch-off tickets and a carton of Virginia Slims because she didn't want to miss Jeopardy.

Tammie

A Tammie is similar to a Tammy, but more flamboyant in every way possible, with the addition of an extra wild side. She might be a little crazy from time to time, but it doesn't take much to fall for her. One of her few downsides is her self-confidence, which causes her to try to change herself, e.g. dye her hair. She most likely doesn't realize, but there aren't many girls that can compare to her.

Her wild side, which isn't very subtle, is a little strange when you first meet her. Despite her having a wild side, if she gives you the chance to get to know her, she will show you her extremely sweet and caring side.

Tammie's are intelligent, funny, crazy, and VERY pretty (and potentially musical too). And if you ever meet a Tammie, you probably won't regret getting to know her, as long as you treat her well. If you don't treat her or even her friends well, she will definitely let you know that you are being disrespectful (typically getting in your face and setting you straight). She is very protective of her friends despite her (slightly) innocent demeanor.

Finally, if you ever in a relationship with a Tammie, you will find out just how sweet and respectful she is. DO NOT give her up.

A very sweet girl who will try to be always there for you. May have been damaged in the past but are still surprisingly kind and an amazing friend. Has a great sense of humor and needs to be more known as it's such an awesome name and she's such a fantastic person.
