A Dotcompadre is basically a friend who you speak to over the internet but have never met and probably wont ever meet.

for example

dotcompatriot

The combined form of dot and compatriot, similar to dotcomrade, meaning a person, usually a Veteran, who uses the inter-net. A form of address used with respect, for any individual veteran or soldier in reference to their inter-net use, or service.
