Poundation

When one goes out to a club/concert and the price for beer/alcohol is very expensive, he or she must obtain a significant buzz prior to the night's festivities. (The pounding of alcohol to create a foundational buzz = poundation)
Dude, I do not want to spend that much money on drinks at the bar. Let's just pre-game (term for drinking before) at Ryan's house so we have a gnarly poundation.
