Pastinating

The dreaded third stage of dragging your heels when there is a task at hand.
It starts with precrastinating. That is when you haven't even started thinking about the task at hand.
Procrastinating is when you are fully aware you need to get going, but you don't want to.
Pastinating is when you actually cross the zero hour threshold, and you really don't give a damn. It always presents itself with copping and attitude and zero patience for the world at large. It is usually followed by going back to bed for the rest of the day.
I was pastinating for an hour after work was supposed to start.
The boss calls and asks where I am. I tell him, "Don't worry about it. It's my job and I will do what I want with it; right now I don't want nothing to do with it. See you tomorrow."
